Remote Classroom Technology


Skype is not quite up to par... ruling it out based on experiences so far. It is more suited for shorter video conferencing between two people sitting directly in front of their cameras.

There is a great Kinect tie in to windows live messenger however using the xbox as the hardware platform. However I don't think you can record conversations directly. The Kinect does have servos mounted in the base of the camera so it might be appropriate for motion tracking within a larger visual field... like a classroom.

Doesn't look like the most reputable software but it's worth a try. I will put it on my windows 7 vm and try it out with my Kinect shortly.
